Default Sharing a calendar without an exchange server

Is it possible to have a shared calendar without an exchange server? Basically I want to be able to share information with my company and have people check it, update it, etc. Everyone here uses Outlook so I would like to be able to share the calendar from Outlook.

Thanks,

Thanks,
paulbrog,

The most effective way is to use an Exchange server. If your company doesn't have one you can consider using Hosted Exchange. I use The Message Center because they are inexpensive and have great support.

A workaround for you is to set up a separate mailbox and give everyone the login credentials for the account so they can log in and view/update the calendar. They just won't be able to see it through their own calendar.

I'm sure that there are 3rd party applications that you can purchase that can allow sharing a calendar.

Good Luck!

Thanks, the final solution seemed ok to me, but did not meet the criteria of the boss, what is Sharepoint? Would that provide a shared calendar service? Does it require a server also, and I forgot to mention we are running on Outlook 2003.

Thanks again,
