iCalendar Acceptance Notifications
I posted an iCalendar .ics file (I also tried vCalendar .vcs) on a web page
for people to use to "sign up" for a meeting and I wanted them to get prompted about sending a resopnse to the meeting organizer when they accepted (Edit before sending; send now; Don't send). It does add the meeting to their calendar when they open the file and accept, but I can't get it to notify me that they have accepted (all of this works if I send out an Outlook meeting notice, but not when I use the .ics or .vcs file. Since I don't know who might be interested I can't really send out the meeting notice. Can I recieve notifications from an .ics or .vcs? Please help. Thanks. |

Are you using steps 1 -3 at

iCalendar Acceptance Notifications
Problem solved!
Thanks Diane, but that doesn't help because I don't know who to invite (I want a 'pull' system that allows any interested person sign up). But I figured it out. I found some iCalendar doco on the web that gave me the RSVP syntax and I was able to get the RSVP working. Thanks Diane, I just read the whole page at
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/pickmeeting.htm and that would've helped, but I had already solved my problem by manually coding the RSVP line in the ..ics file. Thanks!
