Default outlook calendar items not in archive file

I have noticed that last weeks items were gone from my calendar. They did not
show up in archive calendar. Looking further back, just about three months
have disappeared. While playing with it I decided to archive the calendar and
a post that I made 3 days ago had vanished as I was looking at the current
week view. None of the stuff is in the archive.pst file. The setting in
Archive configuration was on "Do not archive items in this folder". I have
searched the hard drive for any other .pst file and found only the one in the
default directory. Right now I'm doing a dat recovery on my disk just to see
if there are any outlook or archive files that have been erased that are
greater in size than the ones on the disk.

Can anyone help? please.

Have you tried switching your view of the calendar to something other than
"Day/Week/Month" to see if you can find them that way?

Changing views doesn't help. Now I get a error message telling me that some
of the reminders can't show up.

Just wanted to add that the items that were gone are from 6/5/2008 to
9/30/2008 if that helps any.

Yes I do but I have not done it in a long time, maybe a year or so. The
archive setting was set to and when I archived it last night, the item that
was on the calendar for 9/29/08 Monday just disappeared from the calendar as
I was looking at it and it didn't show up in the archive calendar. Does the
setting "Do not archive items in this folder" delete the items? I did a reset
so that it saves to a default archive.pst .

If you have the Calendar folder marked as "Do not archive...", then
autoarchive shouldn't touch it. Did you look in the Deleted Items folder?
Were I in your place, I'd try resetting all the views by starting Outlook
once with the /cleanviews command switch.
