Default Searching for old stuff in Calendar

Hi Guys! I've looked in all the threads I can think of and have not seen
this question posed....I can't believe I'm the only one having a prob with
this. I'm trying to find an appointment I had in early 2007. I did a search
and it didn't come up....so I scrolled all the way back and all my old
appointments are GONE!! The only things there are recurring things.....with
an occasional stray appointment showing for no apparent reason. My question
is this: Is there a setting that tells it to hold appointments for say 5
years or 10 years or whatever? I often need to go back to an appointment to
get an address or phone number. What am I missing here? Thanks for any
light you can shed on this!

Check your hard drive for a file called archive.pst. When you find it, open it with Outlook's File=Open-Outlook Data File. All of your old items will be in it.

You can set your archive options under Tools-Options-Advanced-Auto-Archive.

You can also set each folders archive options by right clicking on the folder and select the archiving tab.
