In my laptop's Outlook I had a recurring weekly appointment that had a
reminder 15 minutes before the meeting was scheduled to start. I am synchronizing my calender info with my Nokia N95 phone. I removed (by accident) all the weekly appoinments from my mobile phone when I was only trying to remove appoinment from one week. Now all the calendar appointments are missing from my laptop and from my mobile phone. For some reason the reminder for this appoinement is still popping up in my laptop and I cannot get it closed. When I try to close the reminder I get an error message from Outlook saying "Closing reminder not succesfull. You may get a new reminder. Recurrency info is not found." How can I resolve this situation? |

You did not say what version of Outlook you are using so I will
include information for Outlook 2003. However, the switches work with most versions of Outlook. Only the location of your Outlook.exe will be different. Try using the ".../CleanReminders" Command-Line Switch. For information on how to use the Command-Line Switch for Outlook: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...031101033.aspx Nikki Peterson "SamiE" wrote in message ... Thanks Nikki for your answer. The ".../CleanReminders" Command-Line Switch
did resolve the situation. :-) "Nikki Peterson" wrote: You did not say what version of Outlook you are using so I will include information for Outlook 2003. I am sorry, but was too hasty in my comments about resolving this situation.
The command line switch does resolve the situation, but if do not use the command line switch (I usually don't...) the reminder pops up again. How to get rid of that reminder for good? SOLVED: I found a solution from other thread:
Subject: Unable to delete recurring meeting 4/10/2008 2:20 PM PST By: sumatradc In: microsoft.public.outlook.calendaring GOT IT! Carried out the below steps to delete the item in Reminders folder. With Outlook CLOSED, download MFCMAPI tool from http://support.microsoft.com/?ID=291794 1. Run MFCMAPI on the desktop 2. Go to Session-Logon and Display Store Table 3. Select your profile 4. Select Mailbox 5. Expand "Root Container" 6. Right click “Reminders" and select "Open Contents Table" 7. New Window Launches with Title Reminders 8. Select all the reminder items listed there, Right click and select "Delete Message" 9. Close MFCMAPI Reopened Outlook and don't find the past Reminders firing again. The issue got resolved.
