How can I change the default interval of appointments in Outlook

I am trying to get the default interval from 1 hour to 30 minutes or 15
minutes is there a way to do this in Outlook 2007?

Default is 30 min if you click the New button. Are you using the 1 hr time
scale? Switch it to 30 min.
