How to Delete Extra Calendars?

When I moved from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003, my transfer failed, and it
asked me to rety it, I did. It apparently didnt fail completely, since the
successful retry created all the default folders with a "1" at the end, such
as "Calendar1".
I've now moved to Outlook 2007 and we have a MS Exchange server and can do
appts, etc. via the server. I now notice that events that go to the
Calendar1 folder tell me that I won't get meeting confirmations, etc.

I tried to move my "Calendar1" contents to "Calendar", but failed,
apparenlty 12 times. A friend was finally able to do it, though I'm not sure
what was done. I know it failed 12 times since the current Calendar actually
shows inside appts as being in "Calendar13".

My problem is I now have 4 reminders popping up for the same events. (1 from
Calendar13, 1 from Calendar12, Calendar11, another just says Calendar) (Not
sure why its only 4, since there appear to be 13 of them)

I've deleted the Calendars from the Outlook interface, but it seems they are
really still there, in some file, finding reminder info, and tracking appts.

How can I delete ALL of the old Calendars, and just keep it all in the main
"Calendar" folder? Where are these calendars located on my C-Drive?

Hi Forest

Take a look at the Folder List view of your Outlook (left bottom corner of
the Outlook Navigation Pain). Then come back with a few answers and we'll
try to sort this mess out.

1. Are there sub-folders in the Calendar?

2. Are the appointments you want to keep in the top level Calendar?

3. Which Calendar are the new appointments being delivered to?

Thanks for the reply.

1. I don't think there are subfolders, I see none.
2. Yes, all appts go into "Calendar", but that's because its the only 1
visible. However, Perhaps its only for recurring appts, but some appts pop
up 4 or 5 times in the same notifcation box, as if they were 4 or 5 different
appts. As mentioned, I have noticed this only happen so far with a recurring
appt/date.
3. As above, ALL appts go into that visible Calendar.

My goal is to remove the extra notifications, which when I open those items,
show as on "Calendar11", and "Calendar12", etc.

Perhaps the way to'skin this cat" is to remove these recurring appts and
repost them. However, I'm not sure that will matter since they appear to be
in a Calendar that I'm no longer working in. BTW, I dont recall where, but I
did see that the current 'main' Calendar is "Calendar13".

Hope this helps

Yes, that's my usual view.

In there there is a "Calendar" folder only. (There was a "Calendar1"
folder, but we deleted that. There are still duplicates of the other
folders, "Notes" & "Notes1", Tasks & Tasks1, etc.)

However, my events are still coming up with 5 notices. This time it was not
a recurring appt, which is what I thought the problem was tied to. It seems
any type of appt may do this. And this only started happening as I tried
multiple ways to move my appts from the Calendar1 folder to the main Calendar
folder.

Can you tell me where in the C Drive the Calendar is stored?
Thanks,
Forest

Try use the command line switch to clear reminders.
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm

The Calendar is within the Outlook file. Right click the top folder
(Outlook Today I expect it will say) and then Properties | Advanced - that's
where you can see it's location.
