Automatic Formatting Rules Disappear until you restart Outlook.
Here's the problem.
We have a VP who shares his calendar with his assistant. She has access to his entire exchange account (calendar, inbox, contacts, etc.). She wanted to be able to create a new meeting request and color code it using the labels. However the labels never update his calendar, the meeting stays white. The only way I found to solve this where it automatically updates his calendar with the correct color, was to setup autoformatting rules with condition. So I set a rule up for each label, however it didn't work. But I had tested it with a co-worker and it worked fine. So I added the same rules/conditions to the VP's outlook and it started working, but only sometimes. And now, when the assistant opens outlook, the rules are there and when she adds a meeting it colors his calendar, but if she changed folders (changes to mail) and then goes back to calendar, the colors are gone as well as all the rules in the box under auto formatting. The only way to make them re-appear is to restart outlook. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled office 2003, and it still is doing the same thing. Any help?? Or an easier way to make the VP's calendar update the colors besides using categories? Thanks, Chris Shaver |
