Archive my Archives

Is there a method for Archiving an Archive file? I would like to keep
the old email's yet reclaim some hd space. I have over 5 years of
Arvhieved email and would need to keep most for audit purposes. I use
Outlook 2003 SP2.

Thanks,
Bill

Create a new .pst and call it Archive2 or whatever you need to readily
identify it. Open your current Archive in Outlook and drag and drop items
from the old to the newly created one. Compact your old archive before
closing. Close both.

Close the archive PST in Outlook, if it's open. Close Outlook. Burn the
archive PST to a CD. Before deleteing it from your PC, copy it back to a
different folder from the CD and open it in Outlook to make sure it's
intact. Then close Outlook and delete both copies. The next time Outlook's
autoarchive runs, a fresh archive PST will be created.
