How to display the calendar in the month view at the current date

I would like the calendar to start at the week we are currently in. Is this
possible? It shows the whole month rather than starting at the current week.

The month view is e exactly that - the entire month view. In Outlook 2003 and later, you can swipe the date navigator starting with today's date and display as many days into the future as you want, up to about 5-6 weeks.
