change meeting ownership in outlook

Is there a way to change the ownership of a meeting that has been scheduled
in Outlook? For example, if your boss has a recurring meeting (that has
reserved a very hard to come by resource), but is not going to be running the
meeting anymore (or leaves the company). He wants to make you the owner of
the meeting so that you may make changes to the meeting (change the time of
individual occurances, cancel an individual occurance, etc). But does not
want to just cancel the recurring meeting and have you schedule a new one
(because someone else may grab the resource, and doesn't want to confuse all
the other participants). Is there any way to do this?

Not possible with current versions of Outlook. You will need to re-generate
the meeting with a new owner.
