Hi,

I have a strange problem, when someone send to a user (on which i have the
problem) a meeting request, some people in the company received this request
too.

In the AD, I saw these users were on the "send behalf" property for the user
on which i have the problem. I deleted the users list for this property, but
i still had this problem, i thought it might be a problem of
synchronisattion, so i waited 2 or 3 days, but the problem was still the
same. I checked the property of this user with ADSIEDIT but i didn't see any
property with the users list.

I don't know how to resolve this problem.

One of my users has this problem also. It must be to do with the send on behalf of option, as my user had the affected recipients in their AD send on behalf of field also. Did you check the delegates tab on the clients outlook options? I believe that can do the same thing. I am going to try removing the send on behalf in AD, although the user wants that setting they would rather not waste other peoples time by having them turn up to meetings thaey dont need to be at! Will let you know how i got on. It is very strange that it would do this! I am using SBS2003 running exchange.

Ok so i have removed the users from the send on behalf field of the affected user. But still this is what happens. User A sends request to B. User A gets the request come back to them asking them to accept on behalf of user B! Before that user C was getting the request 'sent on behalf of' user B. Is that the same as you? I am convinced that this is some weird bug as after questioning the users they say that they do not actually use the send on behalf function at all. I am the only one who could have put it there...

Ok so here is what the problem was. In the delegates tab of the user the requests were being sent on behalf of... there are a list of users who will have have rights to their calender. In properties there is a tick box that sends an email to that person for entries into the calendar. Unticking this fixed my problem! So user A was sending the request to user B, They clicked accept causing the entry to appear in their calendar. Then due to the mentioned tickbox for user A and C in user B's delegate tab. They were sent the acceptance email. Not sure if that makes sense, the user stared at me blankly when i tried to explain. Thanks for your post helped my train of thought. Hope this fixes it for you too!

You didn't say which is "the affected user." The symptoms suggest that A is B's delegate.
