Delete persons from a meeting
Good morning,
We plan our meetings with Outlook 2003 on a Exchange 2000. It's no problem to make a meeting with other persons und ressources. But now I've got a termin with 3 persons. Now, I don't want person 2 in the meeting, so how can I delete it? When I manually delete him from the list, he doesn't receive a mail with the info, that he will be no longer at the meeting... How can I delete other persons that outlook send a notify to the affected persons? Sorry for my english ;-) Andreas |

To send out a notification to someone deleted from a meeting, click the Send Update button before you close the appointment after making the change. In Outlook 2003, you will see a dialog asking you whether you want to send the update just to those added or deleted or to everyone. You'll probably want choose the first option so that the other attendees won't be confused by a second meeting request for a meeting they've already accepted.
What the deleted person will see in their Inbox is a cancellation request. When Outlook processes this request, the meeting subject will change to include the prefix "Canceled," but the meeting will remain on the deleted person's Calendar for reference, until that user deletes it. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Kamber Andreas" wrote in message ... I don't know why, but OL doesn't give me any options to send a notification. I have a button called "Aktualisierung senden" ("send update") - when I press it, Outlook doesn't say me, that I've deleted some persons. Another strange thing: I create a meeting with another person. The person accept the meeting, everthing fine. Now I delete the other person und press "send update". Outlook says me, that it can't send the update because no person is invited! Andreas |

What version of Outlook? Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2000. I think the Exchange2000 is the problem, I tested it with an Exchange 2003 and I saw the decline. Am I right? I tested it at another firm, don't know if they customized their Office... Sue, I send you a mail with two videos, watched it? |
