How can I keep my calendar 'view' from changing?

When I go to contacts and then to my calendar, my calendar 'view' has
changed, If I uncheck 'calendar in archive folders' and check the top
'calendar', the calendar appears the way I like it to look. How can I make
the change permanent? Thanks. David
