Hmm. Someone else posted this same issue. What version of Outlook are you
using and what is your data store (PST or Exchange)?

Default How do I stop recurrence from attaching appts automatically

I am using Outlook 2003. I have found if I try to make an appt on the
calender and then try to drag it to make it a longer meeting, that's when it
automatically becomes a recurrrence.
If I click on the calender and adjust the times that way I am fine ...
HOWEVER ... in the first case when I drag and expand and open the recurrence
tab and try to "Remove Recurrence" it will not go away!

HELP!!!

I also have this problem with my recent upgrade to Outlook 2003 with a
recurrence attaching to appointments when I modifiy them and save. The
initial appt is okay, but when I change anything about the appt, say I add a
comment, a weekly recurrence is attached (2 months) and I cannot remove it
with the remove button. I am setting the end date to the same date to get
around this. Has there been any progress on this issue?

Guys, I found the solution to this problem on the Dell Support Forum. I
removed the program 'outlookaddinsetup' from Control Panel Add/Remove
program. for some reason this program was left over on Dell Office
installations. When I tried to remove it, I got a message to shut down Yahoo
Messenger and Microsoft Outlook. My calendar is now saving events correctly.
Good Luck,

program as directed and my Outlook Calendar works fine now.
Thanks!!!
