I have designed a process for vacation and personal day requests that when
approved I would like to have posted to a public vacation calendar. The process works fine but would like to automate it one more step. If the vacation request has been approved the HR department then enters the dates into the staff vacation calendar that resides in the Public Folders. I would like to bypass the HR department and have the dates entered automatically when the department head approves the request and sends the message back to the recipient who requested the vacation. Basically on the send function the code would extract certain fields from the custom mail message into the staff vacation calendar. My problem is that I can't seem to do anything with the default appointment objects meaning I can't pass the custom fields information from the mail message to the default appointment objects. Is there a way to even do this? Thanks for the help. |

Maybe you should show a code snippet to illustrate how you're working with the data?
