Copying Appointments
I would like to copy multiple appointments from my Outlook and send them to a
colleague so that they can import the same appointments. How do I do this? Thanks very much |
Copying Appointments
Write an email to the person and use Insert | Item to include the meetings
as inserted items. Thanks very much Judy. I didn't realize it was that easy. How do you put
the meetings back into Outlook? Just click and drag? Thanks, David "Judy Gleeson MVP - Outlook" wrote: Write an email to the person and use Insert | Item to include the meetings as inserted items. Thanks for the tip Judy. I tried this myself to see how it works. When you
receive the email how do you get the appointment back into Outlook? I tried dragging each appointment into Outlook but the only information that was correct was the subject. It looked like all of the other meeting information had to be reentered. Is there a way to get these appointments into Outlook on the correct date etc.? Hi Milly,
I open the email message with the meeting attached as an attachment. I double click the item on the attachment in the email message and no option for Save and Close. There is a grey bar that says "The meeting is not in the Calendar; it may been moved or deleted." I can see all of the details of the meeting but nowhere does save and close appear. I tried File Save but that doesn't work either. Where am I going wrong here. Thanks, David "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: Simply double click the item and then click on Save and Close. --Â Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. What opens when you click on the attachment? What type of icon is it?

The icon of the attachment in the message is a calendar with a little
envelope in the top RH corner. When I double click the attachment a box opens up with the subject of the meeting and the time details of the meeting but there is a grey line above the message details that says "This message is not in the calendar; it may have been moved or deleted." Underneath the File Edit line, is a row of buttons that are greyed out. These buttons are Accept Tentative Decline Propose New Time. Is there any way that I can send you screen shots or send an email with the attachment so you can try yourself?
