Reoccurring Appts Error: Can't Open This Item. The Object Could.

We are using Outlook 2003 under an Exchange 2003 environment.

A few of our users report this error trying to open reoccurring
appointments: Can't Open This Item. The Object Could Not Be Found.

For one of the users I was able to resolve this by repairing Outlook with
the option to reset configuration to default. However, with another user
that option is grayed out, and standard repair does not resolve it.

Any suggestions?

Close all Outlook sessions and run a search for filename:

FRMCACHE.DAT. If the file appears, rename it to FRMCACHE.OLD

This should fix the problem. Run a reboot to ensure. Hope this helps.

That did the trick!

Not only did it fix that, but it fixed the problem with messages forwarded
as attachments not opening and with not being able to initiate a new message
by clicking on e-mail hypelinks from webpages.

Thanks!
