Restricted access; verify credentials

When trying to make changes to an existing appointment the following message
appears in the pane below:
This message with restricted permission cannot be viewed in the reading pane
until you verify your credentials. Open the item to read its contents and
verify credentials.

I also cannot make a new appointment
