How to get appointments to show up as "tentative" on shared calend

When we send appointments to shared calendars they show up for some reason as
either "tentative" or "busy". Is there a way is outlook 2003 sp2, to set a
default to "tentative"?

Thanks.

Outlook already works that way: Appointments should show as "busy" only if someone accepts them.

How to get appointments to show up as "tentative" on shared ca

I'm testing this by sending an appointment to a few shared calendars as a
delegate with the auto-accept appointments feature on. When I send an
appointment, I will receive an email saying it was accepted, then a few
minutes later it posts to the calendar. Some calendars will show as busy
every time, others tentative and busy.

Any suggestions?

None. Tell us what's different about the setup of those calendars.

Don't see anything different. What is the same is the auto-accept is on,
there is a delegate with editor permission on the calendar, and none of the
calendars we are testing are being used.

I know of only two methods I know of that will result in a Busy status for a meeting request:

1) Either a user manually accepts it
2) or an autoaccept script on the server accepts it.
