Public folder calendar issue
Hello,
We have a shared calendar under Public folders in Outlook. It's a Windows 2003 Server running Exchange 2003. When a user adds an appointment, is there a way that if someone else were to try and add an appointment for the same time they could be denied? Any help is truely appriciated. Public folder calendar issue
Not using a public folder. You really need to create a Resource and have it
auto book. How to Set Up a Conference Room as a "Resource" in Outlook 2000 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...n/cfsetup.mspx and to go with the one above: How to Successfully Book a Resource http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...in/cfbook.mspx Direct booking is an Outlook-specific feature that uses the organizer's Outlook client (Outlook 2000 or later) to book an appointment directly into a resource mailbox schedule. The Outlook client of the person organizing the meeting performs all the necessary tasks, such as conflict checking and placing the reservation on the resource calendar. To set up direct booking, follow: 291616 How to direct book a resource in Outlook 2002 or in Outlook 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;291616 Nikki "jwillie" wrote in message ... Thanks for the response. But What I should of said but worded incorrectly was
this. Is there a way to have a shared calendar in Public folders to automatically decline conflicting meeting requests?
