Default Recurrences and attendees disappear

I am a delegate with editor access to my boss's calendar, and we both run
OL2003 SP2 through Exchange. He syncs his OL calendar to a Palm device.

All is well when one of us creates a recurring meeting on his calendar. The
problem happens when one of us moves one instance of the meeting to another
time -- the meeting mysteriously turns into an appointment as all attendees
and recurrences disappear.

So he ends up seeing a single appointment with no attendees, but those who
were originally invited see the original complete meeting invitation.

A further problem to this is that when he needs to cancel or reschedule
again, he can't, since this appointment in his calendar is no longer
associated with any of the attendees. I usually have to send an email to the
attendees to delete/decline the old invitation, and notify them that a new
meeting invitation is on its way.

This is not only an inconvenience -- if those invited don't act on the
notification right away, they end up confused since they now have multiple
invitations for different times and multiple meetings on their calendars.

I can only speculate that this is a problem from syncing OL to Palm. Has
anyone ever seen this?

Yes! I have been having the same issue as have others in my office. I also
have a Palm, but the others who experience the issue are using Blackberries.

Has anyone found a solution????
