How do I set a default category in Outlook appointments
I would like to alter my appointment template so that new appointments are
given a Personal category by default. Does anyone know how to do this? At the moment the appointments are always blank, can the default template be altered? Many thanks Suzi |
How do I set a default category in Outlook appointments
If you only need to save the contents of fields you enter data in yourself,
You can either save an appointment form with your preferences already set by saving it to your hard drive as an Outlook Template File -- File | Save As | Outlook Template File (*.oft). Opening that file will then give you a pre-defined appointment form to use over and over again. If you wanted to change field names, add tabs to the form, etc., you'd need to create a custom appointment form and set it as your default form for all new appointments. Instructions for that can be found he http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms.htm -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "Suzi" wrote: I would like to alter my appointment template so that new appointments are given a Personal category by default.
