Outlook does not tell me when I schedule conflicting meetings. Why?

If you want an answer, give us something to work with, like your version of
Outlook, when you expect to see conflicts, if the meetings are scheduled
insider your organization or if they involve outside parties, if you are
using Exchange, how much free/busy time is posted, etc.
