add new panel to email editing window
Hi,
I need to add a new panel to the email window, ideally it is a sliding panel. Any idea whether it is possible? Where should I look into? Googling does not return much useful information at this point. Thanks a lot. |

What version of Outlook? If this is 2007 or later you can use a Custom Task
Pane. But that would be visible or not, it wouldn't slide. You can use the Add-In Express framework to add additional panels to Outlook 2000 or later but I'm not sure about sliding, I don't think so. Finally, you can do your own Win32 API hacking and do all the plumbing on your own, see http://www.codeproject.com/KB/office...l_Outlook.aspx for a starter for that. This is pretty much what the Add-In Express people have done already with their code framework, but if you do all the plumbing yourself you can design things the way you want. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Professional Programming Outlook 2007.
