Default rpc over http outlook 2003

The Windows 2000 SP4 workstations don't support RPC/HTTPS. You need to
upgrade them to WinXP SP2.

As for the XP SP2 box, you could try using the RPCPing utility
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831051) to verify workstation/server
connectivity. At the very least this will cut Outlook out of the equation.

Yes, same subnet, same domain. I have 25 machines on the same
subnet/domains.
All are XPsp2 or W2000 sp4 with Oultook 2003 sp2. For 23 machines, the
outlook settings is fine and perfect, but for the last 3 others machines,
it
does not work. Thoses 3 users, I tried them their setting on workstations
that works, and no problem. It s something wrong on those 3 machines, 2
with
w2000 sp4 and 1 with XP sp2.

Are both of these machines on the same subnet? Both machines joined to
the
same domain? Basically trying to figure out if there is anything that
would
stop connectivity to the DC/GC.

I type the username or logon username. In the exact same way when i
tried
the
same user in a other workstation which works fine with.

When creating the mail profile, how are you typing in the name of the
mailbox? (e.g. Last, First/First Last/SMTP email address/UPN/Exchange
alias)

Give http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325930/ a peek. (Specifically
the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientPr otocols section
where
these values must exist on client workstation.)

Hi
I have some problem to setup rpc over http.
I got this message when i tried to setup Outllook 2003 sp2 to
connect
my
computer to the remote exchange server: the name could not be
matched
with
a
name in the address list.
When i tried the same "username" on a other pc, connected to the
same
network, no problem.
any idea ?
thanks
