Importing Contacts into OWA Contacts
Okay. I understand why OWA cannot accept imported data.
Since this is a brand new Exchange server and is void of any
email or contacts is probably why none are visible.
Up until this point my users have been using Outlook as a POP3
client (5+ years).
Even when I create an account in Outlook that is to be an Exchange account,
it appears ready to interact with the server on a future basis. But has no
idea about
existing data.
You mention Fire up Outlook and drag contents of .pst into
"corresponding folders in Exchange account",
there does not seem to be any new folders created when I create
the Outlook account for the Exchange server. Just the same old Outllook
folders exist.
I am baffled how to migrate my existing users onto the Microsoft Exchange
server.
It is starting to seem like they will have to start fresh...or... I'll have
to continue
using POP3 and SMTP (like we always have) and I will get no new features
that Exchange provides.
Thanks for your help.

Now have started OWA (Outlook Web Access) for the first time.
Want to load my contacts list from my Outlook 2003.
Exported the Contacts onto a network server location as a .pst file.
When in OWA, in the Contacts area, cannot fine a button for importing
data.
OWA is nothing more than an HTML interface into the Exchange mailbox. It
has no concept of import or export.
What I don't understand is your not seeing them already. Both Outlook and
OWA should be referencing the same mailbox sho both should see the same
data, unless you were delivering your data to a PST in Outlook. If so, then
just fire up Outlook and drag the contents of the PST's folders into
corresponding folders in the Exchange account..
