Default Problem with the Contacts Folder - Error Msg when using

Incorrect conclusion. Microsoft had to add the security measures. They are
not the cause of the problem. The cause of the problem is some application or
add-in you are running that is so outdated it has not kept up with any of
the current versions of Outlook. Only you know what else you are running on
your computer that might be trying to access Outlook.

Well Russ, I reviewed your link and spent all day reviewing
Microsoft and Goggle for help. The conclusion I get is that
Microsoft caused the problem but isn't going to issue a fix.
I found a page on MS titled; "Problem cause by Microsoft Ofc
2000: consider upgrading". At whose expense? They did say
that support was extended until 2009.
Is there anyway I can remove the offending updates and take
my Outlook back to where it was, working? or Can I just
completely remove it from my laptop and then reinstall it and
not do the updates that caused the problem in the first place.
Guess I'm getting old, I started using their products in 1984,
but MS isn't what it used to be when it started and they were
concerned about their customers.

Suggest reading the article I posted so you can figure out which application
is causing the problem.

Yes Russ, it is old. Microsoft Office Pro 2000.
I have used Outlook Exp but wanted to switch to
Outlook. It started up fine the first time and I was able
to import my Outlook Exp address book. Then the next time I
started Outlook up I got the msg. I had to use Task Mgr to end
the program, it would not close normally. I thought it might have
something to do with Outlook Exp, so I changed all settings to
show Outlook. I went to the link you gave me and tried all the
updates. MS Updates said they were already installed. It
shows I have ver 9.0.8961 - SP3. Any more suggestions?
I can't afford an upgrade of Office.

It is the very well documented Email Security
feature that was implemented in Outlook 8 years
ago. You must be running something very outdated
to be getting this prompt.

While using the Outlook Contacts Folder I keep
getting a window pop up that says "A program is
trying to
access e-mail addresses you have stored in
Outlook. Do
you want to allow this?" I checked No and it
won't go
away. I chose 5 minutes and it went away and
came back.
Any idea what's happening and how to repair it ?
