Outlook 2007 does not work after importing from another pst file

No, the only method for repairing a corrupt installation is to create a new
mail profile. Control Panel-Mail Icon-Profiles-New. Do not copy the old
corrupt profile. Configure your new mail profile to use your good .pst
file.

After furious head scratching, Trevor asked:
| Thanks Mary but is there any other way I can solve the corruption by

I have set up the new profile but I have a further problem -- my cursor
cannot access the Outlook screen -- it just does not show when you move it
into the Outlook window.
???
As posted many times on this forum, you must not Import pst files
|| because importing can corrupt them. Copy the pst to your hard drive
|| without overwriting any outlook files. Then use File, Open OL Data
|| File to open and
|| use it.
