Problem with sending email to contacts in Outlook 2007
Thanks Brian:
That is one solution all right. It works. I've tried it. You can also open
the Properties of the faulty address. I've noted in every case that there is
nothing visibly wrong with the Properties. When you then close it though, you
will be prompted whether or not to save the Properties. This seems strange,
since you haven't changed anything. But if you do save it, the address will
resolve correctly after that.
These are manual one-off solutions to a corruption of the Contacts file that
affects many of the individual Contacts within it. I still don't know what
has caused the corruption nor how to avoid it happening again. It would be
useful if there were a way to run a routine that cleans up all of these
errors automatically in one go.
Thanks for the advice.

That may be so. As I said, I am not a technical person and don't know
what that means in terms of a solution. Whatever it means, simply
IDing the problem doesn't resolve it. Seems to me this thread has
come full circle, as that was the answer given to the original
complaint/query from Adrian. So we are not advancing much by
returning to this diagnosis if there is no better way of resolving
the problem (no pun intended) permanently.
For each contact that doesn't appear, open that contact record and reenter a
character in the email address (for example, deleting the final "m" in
".com" and typing it in again. Save and close the contact. That should
correct the entry and it should appear in the address book.
