Default Added contacts disappearing

Good point.

To answer your question, as soon as I complete the new contact I click on
save and close. When I look up the new record immediately after creating it,
it appears in mylist of contacts as it should.

Within minutes, when I try to find the record again, it's gone.

To make sure i wasn't crazy, I had a friend of mine try to create a few
records herself and she had the same problem.

As to the data folder the records are being posted to, since it appears with
the rest of my contacts, even temporarily, doesn't that mean that the new
record is being saved to the correct folder/database?

When you finish filling in the Contact form, what do you do next and what
happens? Are you certain you are looking in the same folder in which you are
creating the Contact?
Clarify "for some reason." Outlook doesn't just stop working all on its own
for no reason. You did something to change it.

I, too, am very, very new to this whole message board world, so I'm sorry
for
being inept at it.

To answer your questions:
1. Outlook 2003.
2. Not sure what this is
3. Create a new contact by clicking on the New Contact button and filling
in
the info manually
4. Yes, I have been able to create contacts before, but for some reason I
can't now.

Is there a max number of records you can store in Outlook?

I have Yahoo Sync enabled. Do you think that might have something to do
with it.

Thanks in advance for any help you could give me on this. It really is a
problem, and I would have returned to this site to look into it more if my
life hadn't gotten really busy shortly after I posted my question.

Thanks again for any help you can give me.

You must provide at least some information. You provided none. A minimum
would include:
1. Outlook version
2. Information store
3. Method used to create Contact
4. Whether you have ever been able to create Contacts. If so, what steps
did
you take that lost that ability?

I have been having troubvle with newly added (and saved) contacts
disappearing from the Contacts folder. I will complete;y add a new
contact
only to find out later that the contact doesn't appear at all in the
folder.

Has anyone experienced this? How do you fix it?
