Default Outlook 2007 (Vista) won't search Contacts

Try making a new profile. Control panel, Mail... set your current pst as
the default delivery location before opening outlook with the new profile.

Since I migrated from XP & Outlook 2003 to Vista & Outlook 2007, the
"Search
Address Books" on the Mail section of Outlook cannot seem to find them.
When
I try to add "Contacts" or changed the name to "Friends," the "Show this
folder as an address book" under Properties is grayed out, whether I run
as
an administrator or not.

I have struggled with this for two months and have not been successful. I
have seen it referenced a number of times, but the suggestions (as I have
interpreted them) have not worked.

I would be grateful for suggestions, especially of the non-humiliating
variety.

PS If it has to do with my "profile" for some reason I just do not know
how
to do this.
