Default Outlook stopped working for no reason

Did this problem ever get solved? I have the same one now...have created a
new profile, new accounts, am using OL 2003 again (after many attempts w.
2007) but OL shuts down with the same error message as this post. scanpst
found errors but that didn't help. (see earlier post 'outlook 2007 worked for
10 days or so... - this is NOT a multi-post. I'm now having trouble with
2003!) I've uninstalled/reinstalled 2003 etc.
Please someone get me out of this purgatory!!!

I have Microsoft Office 2003 installed on my computer, including Outlook.
Outlook stopped working for some unknown reason one day. Whenever I try to
open Outlook, I see an error that says:

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window.
The set of folders could not be opened.

This message shows up before I even try to do anything, so I have no idea
what set of folders it is referring to. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling Office, but it did not make any difference. All the other
Office 2003 components (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) work with no problem,
so why isn't Outlook working correctly, and what can I do to fix it?
