am not sure how everything got messed up, but it seems I just got it
resolved
today. The on site PC guy changed the how the mail is delivered and now
everything is syncing properly. Not sure if that really explains
everything,
but it's working now.

Server? If you set Outlook's default delivery location to be your
Exchange
Server Mailbox, you'll be syncing both devices with the Exchange Server.
If
you need your email available offline, consider using an .OST instead.
