Default POP configuration Outlook 2003

looks like you have AVG scanning your email - disable it or fix it.

I had Outlook 2003 (Windows XP home) configured to get messages from a
Gmail account, following the Google instructions. But a few days ago
it wouldn't send messages, which I then managed to fix, but now it
won't receive though it will send - and I have double checked the
configuration entries. I get this message:

"Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail
server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this
message, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server:
Cannot connect to the mail server!"
