Default OE 6 import problem

Briefly, motherboard died. I took the hard drive out and cloned it.
Replaced motherboard, wiped original drive and did a fresh install of XP
Home. I copied the entire Outlook Express folder from the cloned drive to a
temporary folder on the original drive. I used the import function, picked
Outlook Express 6, Main Identity, pointed it to the temporary OE folder and
did the import. There were a few extra mailboxes, like "horses.dbx".
None of the extra mailboxes showed up except her Norton Anti-Spam folder.
The Inbox, which is quite large, only has about 4 messages in it. The same
goes for the Sent Items folder.
On the new installation, if I go to D&S\User\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\AE0(mile long)....\Microsoft\Outlook Express, all the
mailboxes are there.
Why don't they show up in Outlook Express?
I am no novice to this procedure. I have wiped and restored "lots" of
computers (it's my trade) and have done the import thing over and over.
This is the first time this has happened to me.
I've tried the "OE Store Directory" option, and I've tried copying the dbx
files directly. Nothing has made them show up so far.
Any suggestions?
