Default Cant send/receive after updating Windows XP

Yes, but it only says "Connecting" in the tool bar and this never seems to
change. No eventual error message that says it couldn't connect or anything -
just constant "Connecting." And the "Include this account" box is checked.
And I don't get any error messages when I try to send/receive so I doubt the
troubleshoot article will help. Any word on a problem with an Update?

Does it even seem to try to do a send and receive? Look in Tools,
Accounts, Mail, Properties, General. Is the Include this account ...
box checked?

I just downloaded the latest Windows XP Updates and have SP2 on this
system.
However, when I rebooted, I can no longer send or receive msgs in OE6.
I can
open the program OK & can also surf the Internet with IE. I don't
receive any
error messages but sometimes have trouble shutting OE down. I also
tried
turning off my anti-virus program, but this didn't help. Could there
be a
problem with a Windows Update that is causing this to happen?
