Your replay did not answer my question about "creating rules". Why are the
created rules I have set up displaying as I described. Is that normal or am
I doing something incorrectly.

After furious head scratching, mbn asked:
| We have Outlook 03 for Exchange Server and use Public Folders.
| When we recieve an e-mail from a Public Contact we manually use the
| "move to folder" after it has been read. We move it to the Public
| Journal.
|
| That way everyone in our tiny office can see any e-mails that come
| from the Public Contact not only by day but by Public Contact.
|
| I thought I could write a rule to do this task for us but it is not
| working to my satisfaction.
|
| The rule does move the e-mail but you can only see it in the Public
| Journal field if you change the view to Entry Type where is shows up
| at the very bottom because the e-mail has been moved over without
| anything in the Entry Type, Start or Contact Field.
|
| In addition, when you go to that public contacts activity tab that
| e-mail is nowhere to be found.
|
| Am I doing something wrong or is this the best that Outlook can do.
