Default Dialing with Windows Fax Driver & Outlook

Use dialing rules when you send a fax. As long as you store your numbers in
International (Canonical) format, dialing rules will take care area codes
and the like.

Perhaps dialing is different in your local, but over here it doesnt

whether you use local code or not.

Windows XP. Fax Wizard. When I select a local recepient to send a fax

to
using the addresses in Outlook, it wants to use the area code which is

not
needed. How do I turn this off?

When the number is dialed with the area code, an automated recording

comes on and says 1, 0, or the area code is not needed in placing this call.
