Cyclic Redundancy Error
Milly is right. This is the result of bad sectors on the harddrive where the
PST is located. Run the command Milly suggested and then use scanpst.exe to
try and correct any errors in the PST file - you may have to run it multiple
times.

You might want to run chkdsk /r from a command prompt to see if your disk has some bad sectors.

After furious head scratching,
asked:
| Outlook has been very sluggish and in fact makes my whole pc sluggish.
|
| Recently when trying to do a search of my emails I got an error that
| it couldn't access the .pst file due to a cyclic data redundancy. Is
| there a way to fix this? It was actually happening earlier and I
| uninstalled it and bought a fresh copy and reinstalled. Any thoughts
| appreciated (well good ones at least
)
