Recently when trying to do a search of my emails I got an error that
it couldn't access the .pst file due to a cyclic data redundancy. Is
there a way to fix this?

I have never seen this but after a quick search this might be KB 319128.
Have you tried making a backup copy of the .pst and then running the
scanpst.exe tool on it.
