Imprt Contacts Problem "select destination folder" window not
outlook both times - look on the help menu in outlook for detect and repair.
if that doesn't help, make a new outlook profile in control panel, mail.

Hi Diane,
my apologies for asking further questions
in terms of "try detect and repair"....do you mean try to detect and
repair
a fault within outlook or try and detect and repair a fault within the CSV
file
Also in terms of creating another profile....do you mean within XP or
within
outlook?
Kind Regards
Rob

Hi all,
When I try to import a contacts CSV file there is a problem. I don't
think the file is corrupt as I am able to import it without any
problems on another computer
The problem is that when I get to the "select destination folder"
window within the "import" process..... the "select destination folder"
window pops up....but the tree of folders to select where you want to
import the file to is not there. I am running Outlook 2003 on both
machines and XP on both machines...I have uninstalled Outlook on its
own, then re-installed. ...... and then tried uninstalling Office on
the whole and re-installed. ...but no joy
I have also tried to create a small list of contacts on that
computer....it
takes contacts fine that way...but when I try to export from this
computer...the same issue happens during the "export"
process.....basically
the tree of folders where you select where you want to export from is
not
visible
any ideas
Rob
