Outlook Banter - View Single Post - Exporting contacts from outlook to excel problem

Using Outlook 2003, using the import/export wizard, when I select "export to
a file", then choose MS Excel, in the next window where folders should appear
(so I can select my contacts to export) there is NOTHING! Unless I select
"export to a .pst file", the window is blank. Why can I not export to a file
other than .pst? I know I've done this before, what is the glitch? HELP!
